Who controls our energy supply? YOU Do!!
July 28, 2011
South Carolina, like many states, is gearing up for the 2012 presidential and election. Candidates will be visiting the state over the next few months, and it is an important chance for you, the citizens the United States, to send your message to national candidates about American energy.
That message is simple: We want leaders that recognize the need to develop American energy resources, which will lead to more jobs as well as more state and local revenues - and the security of current and future generations.
Recognizing that all energy sources are important, we need to see what the candidates think and whether they support our state’s and our country’s needs.
Therefore, it is critically important for all citizens to be involved in the political process, to make your voices heard, because it is those we elect that will decide the what, where, when and how our energy will be developed. They'll need to make those decisions based on sound, fact-based criteria - taking into account the impacts to our nation's economic and energy security.
The time is now! Get involved — and let our candidates hear your voice.
